Heidi Pratt evidently wasn't ready for her close-up -- or anything else -- on NBC's "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!"
After quitting the reality contest and returning to it for a stint in isolation, Pratt was hospitalized this weekend in Costa Rica, several Web sites report.
NBC wasn't commenting on the "Hills" star and her condition, although several Web cites say she has a stomach infection. But TMZ said she had left the hospital and was being treated for a gastric ulcer.
Pratt and her "Hills" co-star/husband, Spencer Pratt, are taking part in the show. But an NBC executive last week called the couple "insincere, lazy, entitled" -- a take echoed by many viewers appalled by the Pratts' diva-like behavior.
The Pratts were staying in isolation from the other celebrities after returning to the show. The celebrities play for charity while sniping at one another during the endurance contest.
What happened to Heidi? Stephanie Pratt, Spencer's sister, said via Twitter that Heidi was "rushed to the hospital" after "being locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food or water." The sister complained that NBC had pushed the couple "too far."
The Pratts' fate is to be revealed on the 8 p.m. Monday show on WESH-Channel 2. But Heidi's health might decide the situation.
Spencer accompanied Heidi to the hospital, E! Online reported.
When he departed the show last week, Spencer memorably told competitors, “Super-celebrities don’t belong in the jungle. They belong in Hollywood with the paparazzi.”
The Pratts' time on the show has hardly helped them as celebrities, super or otherwise.
